Background

We are looking to hire a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to be based in Somalia. Candidate should have at least but not limited to 7 years of experience in servicing, repairs, and engine and gearbox overhauls, including light vehicle experience, confident and accurate fault-finding, and diagnostics on vehicles, trucks, and heavy yellow machinery (Specifically JCB).

The selected candidate must be able:

• Services and repairs to all heavy trucks and MHE/Yellow equipment in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
• Performs services, oil changes, checks all fluid levels, removes all wheels, cleans and re-greases all wheel bearings, checks brake lining thickness, and front brake pads, cleans rear linings and adjusts brakes and tire replacement, and completes check from bumper to bumper as per the vehicle checklist, including lights, wiper operation.
• Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical faults, has experience in light electrical, and other defects on Heavy trucks, and MHE equipment, Maintains records of repairs made, work orders, and time worked and is able to perform engine, differential, and gearbox overhauls.
• Able to use electronic equipment diagnostic software to diagnose and repair faults, especially on JCB Master4 stage 5 V and MaxiSys Pr
